So, What’s new?

2018 started of as a good year because I was able to find a beautiful 1996 Hunter 240 to add to my “fleet”. Of course, the rest of the year was spent trying to plan sailing trips in the Chesapeake between periods of absolutely non-sailing weather. I was able to sail my new boat, affectionately named Jon-B after my two youngest grandsons, just enough to find her flaws and needed improvements and embark on the tasks of making her really cruise friendly. I learned enough that I know I’m going to enjoy time spent on the water with her.

Of course, There’s still my little Christina T whose been with me since 1975 as well as my pontoon boat, Jack-Ash, who wanted for my attention in 2018. My vow to myself for 2019 id to get out on all of the boats a lot more. Of course, I need mother nature to cooperate this year so much better than she did last year.

As far as my web site goes, I hope to be able to update that more often, as well. I think once I get the hang of adding and editing content I should be quite regular with new stuff. I think I’ll try a blog page to see how that works out, although I have no idea of how to set it up. I guess I’m in for another learning experience! While my site is predominantly about boats and cruising, I hope to broaden the concept to, hopefully, be interesting to more visitors. I guess it’s time to give it all a try!
